A Life Built Around Creating Experiences
“I have always been in the business of creating experiences,” Maureen shares in the feature.
Long before founding Maure, Maureen spent more than a decade creating memorable meals and events through Vibrant Dish, her luxury private chef and hospitality company. Her culinary career brought her into the homes of clients including Bono, Sting, and the Clintons, while strengthening her understanding of how food, design, and personal details can transform a gathering.
That same approach now guides Maure. Every object is selected not simply for how it looks, but for how it can become part of a home, a celebration, or a treasured ritual.
Inspired by Travel and Made by Artisans
Travel has always played an essential role in Maureen’s creative life. While guest-cheffing around the world, she often returned home with suitcases filled with handcrafted trays, glassware, linens, ceramics, and serving pieces discovered in European villages and local markets.
These objects became the early inspiration for Maure and its signature collection of “coveted curiosities.”
Today, Maure works closely with skilled artisans to bring exceptional European craftsmanship to the United States. The collection includes Swedish birchwood trays designed by Maureen, handblown Bohemian hobnail crystal from the Czech Republic, sculptural décor, table linens, home fragrances, and distinctive pieces for entertaining.
Many are created using techniques preserved by generations of craftspeople, giving each object a story that reaches far beyond its function.
Designing a More Personal Kind of Gift
At the center of Maure is the belief that a gift should feel personal, beautifully considered, and unforgettable.
That philosophy extends through every detail, from the objects themselves to bespoke gifting services for private clients, businesses, and interior designers. Custom notecards, hand-wrapped gift boxes, engraving options, and carefully curated gift collections make each gesture feel entirely its own.
For Maureen, the most rewarding part is seeing how these pieces enter people’s lives.
“I love hearing how our pieces become a part of people’s homes,” she tells VUE. It is a sentiment that captures Maure’s larger purpose: offering objects that inspire people to gather, celebrate, and create meaningful experiences around the table.
A Vision for Maure’s Next Chapter
Looking ahead, Maureen envisions Maure continuing to grow as a lifestyle brand and a trusted name in luxury home entertaining and gifting. Expanding the brand’s retail presence, developing new original collections, and building wholesale partnerships are all part of that future.
Yet the foundation will remain the same: integrity, craftsmanship, quality, and genuine respect for the people who make each piece.
